located in the boom town of 'upstate's downtown' aka hudson new york, we are more committed than ever to the promotion of emerging designers from the hudson valley to brooklyn. with our focus on 'hand-made in ny' and representing 30+ gifted furniture, lighting, accessory, and jewelry makers we are able to design and produce for your second home or a small production job for a restaurant. we are two hours north of nyc- home to antique stores, fine dining, cosy inns and beautiful views. enjoy a relaxing trip on the train or a scenic drive along the hudson river and come spend the day or a weekend.
we feature felt, glass, wood, steel, concrete and earthenware, and showcase small production or one-of-a-kind pieces. built of the highest quality, carefully selected materials, we guarantee that the workmanship will be exceptional. whether choosing a piece from the gallery or commissioning a custom desk, our woodworkers source magnificent reclaimed and indigenous wood species: red oak, black walnut, claro walnut, cherry, ash and birds eye maple. metalsmiths design new lighting from repurposed vintage machinery, drawn from hudson's own industrial heritage. in addition to vintage wood and found elements, we are are proud to represent a sleek collection of steel+concrete furniture, lighting and objects by joshua howe, as featured in the new york times and dwell.com.
culture+commerce project offers a wide array of modern fine art photography, prints, assemblage, collage and paintings. like the furnishings and lighting we showcase, our fine art is meticulously curated to reflect a commitment to local artists and a contemporary aesthetic. the talented artists we represent hail primarily from hudson and the immediate area and explore imagery ranging from architecture to nature. we are constantly updating and are happy to provide additional images from the portfolio of any artist or designer.
